Orange County Courthouse

T5

Thursday, June 18

1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

For the Ninth Judicial Circuit, the vision of an integrated high-tech courtroom has become a reality. The Court contracted with AV designers to integrate cutting edge courtroom technology for the Roger A. Barker Courtroom, located on the 23rd floor. Imagine an attorney using a document camera to automatically display evidence for the judge, the clerk, the court reporter, the attorneys, the litigants, the witness and all the jurors. Imagine the witness marking on the picture or annotating the document directly from the witness stand by simply using tracing his/her finger on the monitor with the results simultaneously displayed for everyone in the courtroom. Further imagine hearing and seeing live testimony from a witness located thousands of miles from the courthouse, then hearing back the testimony played through a laptop computer. Come see how the Orange County Courthouse uses AV technology to make all this, and more, possible.

Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba

T6

Friday, June 19

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The show name La Nouba originates from the French phrase “faire la nouba,” which means to party, to live it up. It is a world where dreams and reality intertwine as the urban and circus worlds meet on stage. Blending acrobatics, dazzling choreography, whimsical characters and live music, La Nouba stimulates the imagination from beginning to end. What keeps the artists in control of this magical world is the marriage of cutting edge technology and human performance. Computer controls of lighting, audio, special effects, and automation keep the artists in the air and audiences on the edges of their seats. During the tour you’ll visit various control and equipment locations to discuss with technical personnel the various technologies used, their effects upon the show and how they make it possible to smoothly repeat the show time after time.
